Weill Cornell Medical College will make its best effort to provide a timely response to electronic inquiries. In some cases, the clinical staff that needs to respond to an electronic inquiry or other communication may not be immediately available so a patient should allow at least two (2) business days for a response. Accordingly, emergency situations requiring immediate attention should not be submitted electronically. Furthermore, with respect to any electronic communications sent by the patient, we are only able to respond to such communications based on the information provided by the patient. If there is insufficient information provided, we will be unable to provide an accurate and reliable response.

Such access will only be granted to parties with parental rights or legal guardianship over the Weill Cornell CONNECT account holder. If the proxy's legal relationship with the account holder changes, the proxy must inform the clinic immediately by contacting their provider of care. Due to limitations currently imposed by State and Federal law, when a minor patient reaches age 12, their Weill Cornell CONNECT account shall be deactivated, along with all proxy access to the account.
Parents or guardians of children age 12 to 17 (inclusive) may only be granted proxy access to the child's Weill Cornell CONNECT account by the child signing a Proxy Access Consent Form. Proxy access consent will need to be renewed every two years. Proxy access will be restricted to comply with the limitations currently imposed by State and Federal law. Proxy access will be terminated when the child reaches 18 years of age.
